The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Ways & Means Subcommittee on Social Security began hearings on June 19th to address the pending insolvency of Disability Trust Fund. Beneficiaries face a 20% across-the-board benefit reduction in just 3 years unless Congress acts.
The focus of these hearings, the 10th held by the Subcommittee in the past 3 years, is on encouraging return to work efforts by recipients.
