2021 INFLATION COULD LEAD TO LARGE COLA

Due to the COVID 19 stimulus payments, inflation is up for 2021 which could lead to a larger than normal cost of living adjustment (COLA) for Social Security recipients in 2022.

The non-partisan Senior Citizens League estimates the increase could be as high as 5.3%, based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index.

This would be the highest COLA since 2009 when it was 5.8%.
